The Ocean Shores Art Expo team has announced the new theme for 2011.... "Life's Surprises".
Mardi Zylstra, OSAE Treasurer, and RI Fraser, President, expect that artists will enjoy playing with images of surprise. "The unexpected creates delight or trepidation in our lives....

Artists are invited to start creating paintings, drawings, sculptures, prints and photos, evoking the things that surprise, make us stop with wonder, amazement or even trepidation; with what can take our breath away or move us to change....

I first got involved in the Expo in 2009 as a volunteer. I was tasked with collecting the artwork from artists before the show....

Pearl Andrews, 8, of Ocean Shores had a day at home from school, so she sat on her deck in the warm sun preparing for the Ocean Shores Art Expo. Her pastel drawing is inspired by the 2011 theme "Life's Surprises". The kids section....
