  • 7 July, 2008 - Maggie Golightly is amazed at the response.
    Entries have poured in for the Ocean Shores Arts Expo to be held at the OS Community Centre from Friday 8th - Sunday 10th August. Registrar Maggie Golightly is amazed at the response. "It's the biggest ever.

  • 28 June, 2008. - The Colourful Life Of Ocean Shores Arts Expo.
    In 2004 a group of Ocean Shores residents who had bonded through organizing colourful and creative protests realized they needed a community event to continue bringing people together, but without the ‘opposition’ one has when fighting for a cause.

  • 18 June, 2008. - Entry forms only 4 Weeks to go.
    There are only 4 weeks to go! Entry forms to the Ocean Shores Arts Expo '08 need to be in by 18th July. This is one of the biggest community art shows in the Byron Shire, inspired and run by a creative group of locals who volunteer time and skills........

  • 17 June, 2008. - History Spelled Out In Black And White.
    One hundred and fifty years ago a local man called Charles *Jarrett* needed more strong men to help with the cedar-getting in the Brunswick Valley. He heard of the two Mills men from Ballina and asked them to come to Brunswick Heads to help out.

  • 20 May, 2008. - Liam Veselis at age 10 is already a seasoned artist.
    He has been drawing and painting since a very young age with encouragement from his family. Entering competitions has brought him many awards. Last year, to accept the Clearview Award for a story and painting about his granddad, he won a trip to Sydney and $1000 for his school.

  • 10 April 2008. - Ocean Shores Arts Expo team.
    When the Ocean Shores Arts Expo team got together last week to start the ball rolling for the 2008 Art Show there was a buzz of enthusiasm, new faces, fresh ideas and a wild assortment of suggested themes for the show.

  • 2 April, 2008 - Sculptures added to O S A Expo 2008.
    Stone, marble, glass and bronze are some of the media local artists can now bring to the Ocean Shores Arts Expo '08. Local sculptor Judson Chatfield is pretty excited that the popular annual art show now includes sculpture for the first time.
