Ocean Shores Arts Expo team
When the Ocean Shores Arts Expo team got together last week to start the ball rolling for the 2008 Art Show there was a buzz of enthusiasm, new faces, fresh ideas and a wild assortment of suggested themes for the show. The show is August, 8th, 9th and 10th, and the committee wants to give artists plenty of time to prepare. Anyone interested in assisting putting the art show together can contact the Art Co-ordinator, Ri Fraser, 6680 3040. The next meeting is Wednesday 19th March at 7pm at the Ocean Shores Country Club, Orana Rd. One of the features of this show is that it is open to all, from beginners to experienced, children to professionals. This is the fifth year of this community organized event which has been successful both in variety of entries, supporting and awarding local artists, and increasing sales of good art to the public. Artists will be painting to a theme, which is to be announced next week. Watch this space!
