Primary Children’s Entries Art Competition
Conditions of Entry
- Each school may submit up to five entries per age group. Each child may make one entry only. There is no charge for children’s entries. Subject to available space, as many paintings as possible will be exhibited., but no guarantee is made that every entry made will be exhibited. Prizes and or certificates will be awarded to placegetters.
- Children’s ages are determined as their age on 8th August, 2007. The age groups for entry are Age 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12,13.
- Any 2D media may be used: ie crayon, watercolour, ink, etc
- This year’s theme is… "Belonging: My Special Place".
- Entries should be a maximum size of NSW DET art paper 42cmx 30cm. No size variations will be allowed and artwork is not to be mounted or backed. Any framing must be the child’s own work and must fit within the specified dimensions listed above.
- An identifying label (no larger than 8cmx4cm) must stapled to the bottom right corner of the art work, showing the child’s name, school, age and title, if any. Entries should also state the same information on the reverse side too.
- The judges’ decisions are final.
- Entries will be received at Mullumbimby Public School, and Billinudgel Post Office and at 14 Dandaloo Way, Ocean Shores. Entries for the children’s art competition close at 5pm on Friday, 1st August
- Children with disabilities: encouragement awards will be given. Entries in this category should be notified to C Tarbox..

Secondary School Student's Entries Art Competition:
Conditions of Entry
- Each student may make one entry only. There is no entry charge
- The same four sections as for the open competition apply:
Water colour/gouache
Oil/acrylic
Mixed media
Drawing/pastel
- This year’s theme is "Belonging".
- Entrants must be currently enrolled at a secondary school in the Brunswick Valley or Byron Shire.
- Entrants should complete the open section entry form available at the website and provide details of school attended and year in which enrolled.
- There is no guarantee that every entry will be exhibited.
- Entries in the student’s painting section close on Friday, 1st August.
- Students should contact the Registrar (66 802085) or Colin Tarbox (schools’ contact) to confirm delivery and collection details. Late entries will not be accepted.
- The organisers will provide certificates for placegetters and each of four first place getters will each receive a prize of $50.
